| In 1999, following an approach from the Guernsey Tourist Board, he embarked on an additional venture, creating WATERCOLOUR HOLIDAYS IN GUERNSEY for those who wished to combine a holiday in Guernsey with tuition in watercolour painting.
Each successive year has necessitated more courses, but Tony has continued to restrict numbers of students to ten on a course in Guernsey, maintaining that attendees welcome the additional one-to-one tuition and guidance that this policy offers. In addition to Guernsey, Tony has been running courses at Seatoller in the Borrowdale Valley and Little Langdale, near Ambleside, both in Cumbria as well as North Norfolk, all of which have been very successful and fully booked. In order to concentrate on exhibition work, Tony has decided that with effect from January, 2008, he will only be running courses in Guernsey in the future.

Tony has been described as a tutor with endless patience; many students return each year to increase their skills. Whilst the majority of students arrive from the UK, there is a noticeable increase in visitors from Continental Europe and more recently from North America.
Tony has held a number of successful one- man exhibitions locally and his work may be found in Guernsey Galleries and private collections. Tony would describe himself as a traditional landscape artist, having spent considerable time studying and following the work of the late James Fletcher-Watson, R.I., RBA. The death of his old friend has made Tony even more determined to continue to promote the great tradition of pure watercolour painting which James was so anxious to preserve.
