THE PAINTING HOLIDAY includes 5 nights HB en suite accommodation at La Trelade Hotel, St. Martins and four full days watercolour painting tuition. Guests tend to arrive in the afternoon of the Sunday to meet Tony Taylor at 6.30pm and run through the format of the course, going in to dinner at about 7.00pm.
On Monday at about 9.00 am we all meet in the Studio to check our gear before departing for our chosen site for the day. Lunch is not provided. From experience, it has been found that students prefer to grab a light lunch near to our site, rather than return to the hotel and waste valuable painting time!
Each day we take off for a different site for Tony's demo.and a full day's painting, including his tuition and guidance.
On Thursday, our final day, we return to the hotel a little earlier for a critique and Exhibition followed by our Farewell Dinner.
On Friday. Guests depart at about 10am after breakfast, unless they have arranged to stay on in the hotel.
Cumbria and Norfolk
In order to devote more time to painting for exhibitions, Tony has decided, with effect from January,2008, to reduce his commitment to teaching watercolour and will only be running his courses in the island of Guernsey.
