ABOUT GUERNSEY

Guernsey, the second largest of the Channel Islands, is situated approximately 70 miles from the UK mainland and is easily accessible by air from many UK airports. For those wishing to bring a car to the island, ferries cross from Weymouth and Poole, the journey taking about two and a quarter hours.

Guernsey is an ideal venue for a painting holiday, offering a unique charm and beauty as well as an abundance of varied sites for the watercolourist: whilst the coastline is an artist's paradise, St.Peter Port offers many attractions including a spectacular harbour/marina complex as well as many architectural sites for the advanced painter.
St Peter Port Reflections

Many choosing Guernsey for a painting holiday extend their visit beyond the course dates in order to travel to the neighbouring islands of Herm and Sark, walk the miles of cliff-tops, or just meander through Town, taking advantage of the low tax shopping.
